طرح توصیف کننده های معیارهای بارم گذاری برای ارزیابی مقاطع قابل تعریف فرآیند نگارش: توانش های نهفته در عملکرد نگارش زبان آموزان |

هدف مطالعۀ حاضر تهیۀ معیارهای بارم گذاری مناسب برای هر یک از مراحل قابل تعریف فرآیند نگارش و همچنین تعیین این نکته است که تا چه حد این معیارهای بارم گذاری بگونه ای پایا و معتبرمی توانند عملکرد زبان آموزان ایرانی را در تکالیف نگارشی مقاطع دانشگاهی ارزیابی نماید. برای فرآیند نگارش چهارمرحلۀ عملی خلق اندیشه (بارش افکار)، سرفصل نگاری، نگارش، و ویرایش تعریف گردید. نمونه های نگارش 202 نفر از دانشجویان پس از گذراندن دورۀ آموزشی مرحله به مرحله ای فرآیند نگارش جمع آوری شدند. هریک از نمونه های جمع آوری شده شامل تمام دست نوشته های دانشجویان بود که در هریک از مراحل نگارش تولید نموده بودند. این نمونه ها را سه بارم گذار مورد بررسی و تحلیل دقیق قرار دادند تا ویژگی های خاص آنها که نشانگر نقاط ضعف و قوّت هریک از دست نوشته ها باشد تعیین گردد. آنگاه، دست نوشته های دانشجویان بر اساس کیفیّت نگارش در چهار سطح بسیار خوب، خوب، متوسط و ضعیف طبقه بندی شدند. هر یک از ویژگیهای تعریف شده در قالب جملات و عبارات توصیف گردیدند، بطوریکه هر جمله توصیف کنندۀ عملکرد دانشجو در سطح مورد نظر باشد. مجموعۀ این عبارات توصیفی معیارهای بارم گذاری را برای هریک از مراحل نگارش تشکیل دادند. بدین ترتیب چهار معیار بارم گذاری به نام های بارش افکار، سرفصل نگاری ، نگارش و ویرایش برای مراحل فرآیند نگارش بدست آمد. سه بارم گذار با استفاده از این معیار های بدست آمده اقدام به تصحیح 202 نمونۀ جمع آوری شده از دانشجویان نمودند.در مرحلۀ دوّم این مطالعه، نمراتی که با استفاده از این معیارهای بارم گذاری بدست آمد، مورد تجزیه و تحلیل آماری قرار گرفت. میزان پایایی بسیار بین بارم گذاران (895/0) نشان داد که این معیارهای بارم گذاری میتوانند نتایج باثبات و پابایی را ایجاد نمایند. تحلیل واریانس (ANOVA) نشان داد که تفاوت آماری معنی داری میان نمرات سه بارم گذار وجود ندارد. تحلیل عاملی نشان داد که حداقل میتوان سه سازه –دانش زبانی، توانایی برنامه ریزی، وتوانایی خلق افکار را در نظر گرفت که زیر بنای متغیر های مورد سنجش معیار های بارم گذاری باشد. |

Developing Rating Scale Descriptors for Assessing the Stages of Writing Process: The Constructs Underlying Students’ Writing Performances |

The purpose of the present study was to develop appropriate scoring scales for each of the defined stages of the writing process, and also to determine to what extent these scoring scales can reliably and validly assess the performances of EFL learners in an academic writing task. Two hundred and two students’ writing samples were collected after a step-by-step process oriented essay writing instruction. Four stages of writing process – generating ideas (brainstorming), outlining (structuring), drafting, and editing – were operationally defined. Each collected writing sample included student writers’ scripts produced in each stage of the writing process. Through a detailed analysis of the collected writing samples by three raters, the features which highlighted the strong or weak points in the student writers’ samples were identified, and then the student writers’ scripts were categorized into four levels of performance. Then, descriptive statements were made for each identified feature to represent the specified level of performance. These descriptive statements, or descriptors, formed rating scales for each stage of the writing process. Finally, four rating sub-scales, namely brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and editing were designed for the corresponding stages of the writing process. Subsequently, the designed rating scales were used by the three raters to rate the 202 collected writing samples. The scores thus obtained were put to statistical analyses. The high inter-rater reliability estimate (0.895) indicated that the rating scales could produce consistent results. The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) indicated that there was no significant difference among the ratings created by the three raters. Factor analysis suggested that at least three constructs, –language knowledge, planning ability, and idea creation ability – could possibly underlie the variables measured by the rating scale. |
